Steps Through Time reimagines the Terminal Building’s natural terraces as a journey through history, sustainability, and innovation. Inspired by the 1955 Agricultural Show, the design integrates a circular ecosystem across three levels. Visitors begin at the preserved Art Deco exhibits in level 1, where recycled farming materials are repurposed into artworks promoting agricultural education and community interaction. The journey continues through a green café on Level 2, ascending the terraced structure to a rooftop farm, symbolizing modern ecological harmony. The existing terraces mirror rice fields, applying permaculture zoning, where public spaces transition into private areas based on activity levels.
